Without fanfare, they continued throughout the winter their hearings in schools. A few weeks of the end of the year, the two officials responsible for thinking about the reform of secondary schools, Richard Descoings and Benoist Apparu, are ready to get out of the wood. The first had planned to report late may, at the end of a marathon that has driven professional schools in rural settlements, to the meeting of the high school students. As the UMP MP, at the head of a parliamentary mission, he will unveil Wednesday proposals.
The mission of the Sciences po master Nicolas Sarkozy was the most delicate: pick up the pieces with a youth who understood, was dismissed with force in December the Government project of reform of upper secondary schools. Richard Descoings has therefore openly relied on dialogue. A change of method, validated by the Elysee.

"It starts from zero."
"It should not either plated at the top," confirmed Nicolas Sarkozy, who is was invited Wednesday to his side in a high school. "It starts from scratch, without a priori, but will be the reform," warned. Its content is still unknown, but the head of State has already listed a few priorities: orientation (gateways...), combating school drop-out, strengthening the links between high school and the company ("to be less stiff"). He also raised the issue of the balance between channels, recurring and crucial subject in the eyes of the Executive. Richard Descoings did had him also constantly mentioned the fate of the technology sector frightened and the S series, has become more a stream of elite as a scientific curriculum full.
"We have a convergence on this point: it is necessary to respécialiser this sector", says Benoist Apparu. Apart from the case of the S series, the Parliamentary Justice globally "too brutal" specialization in high school. His report therefore suggests to keep a second vocation "generalist" (common core of courses, four options, three hours of support) and drive change gradually in first: students no longer have to decide between seven series (S, ES...), but simply to choose between the path General and technological. The real specialization would intervene in Terminal to also improve the transition to higher education, where MP is also to make the more generalist courses, and to reserve 50 of the places of IUT in technological college graduates.
More school support
The operation of the school would also reviewed foot in Cape Town: less hours (30), but more school support (5 hours of personal work), more gateways (summer internship for a month to limit duplication) and a bac over the year of Terminal (control training).
A project very close both of Xavier Darcos (for the second) and François Fillon in 2005 (for the Bachelor's degree), two reforms that faced the schoolgirl bronca. "On the merits, their directions were good," maintains the Member of Parliament. "The high school must be designed as a block related to higher education." The tray can no longer be an end in itself. "Where the idea with the dear objective to the left of 80 of a class of age at the baccalaureate level, by assigning new goals: 25 of graduates from the professional tray (against 15 today) and 50 of graduates of the higher (versus 42). Not sure that the left appreciates: parliamentarians PS members of the mission are dissociated from the report.
